‘Over the next 12 or 18 months’: Pundit says Liverpool have a midfielder who’s about to explode

Liverpool’s midfield last season had so many problems.

The quality was lacking, the players were ageing, and the energy just wasn’t there.

However, after a summer of good recruitment, Liverpool have revamped their midfield this term, and they’re looking so much better in that area at the moment.

Speaking on Premier Sports (6/12/23 9:35PM), Damien Delaney has been discussing one Liverpool midfielder – Ryan Gravenberch, and he says that the Netherlands international is showing signs that he’s going to become an absolute superstar over the next 12 to 18 months.

Gravenberch will become a star

Delaney spoke about the Liverpool ace.

“I think that Gravenberch, over the next 12 or 18 months, I think he’s going to become a super player as he develops, from what I’ve seen from him,” Delaney said.

“You need players like that, I read this week that he’s been dubbed the next Steven Gerrard can you see that?” Delaney was asked.

“I don’t know, he has a long way to go and a lot of trophies to win before he gets to that. You can see the shades, silky, skill loads of energy, workrate, he has the whole lot.”

Gravenberch has bags of ability

Delaney is absolutely right, Gravenberch looks like he’s on the verge of becoming a really top player for Liverpool.

The Dutchman has all of the physical and technical qualities you would want from a midfield player, and once he’s given time to mature, grow and get to grips with the Premier League, he should be able to become one of the best in the division.

Let’s not forget, Gravenberch was tipped to be one of the best players of his generation during his time at Ajax, and that potential is still in there just waiting to be realised.
