Liverpool cruised to a 5-2 win over Norwich today as they ensured Jurgen Klopp saw his side win in his first game since announcing he’d leave.
The news about Klopp dominated the build up to the game but when it came down to the actual game, Liverpool only had one thing on their mind.
The Reds cruised into a 4-1 lead before Norwich got one back to slightly worry the Anfield crowd. However, a late fifth from Ryan Gravenberch which included a second assist of the day for Conor Bradley, ensured a fine day at the office.
LONDON, ENGLAND –For Bradley, it was yet another excellent performance from right-back and with Trent Alexander-Arnold now back, it will be interesting to see if the youngster somehow keeps his place.
Regardless, his performance today was good again and Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison admitted he thought the youngster had been excellent once more.
“I think Bradley tried to score but it’s his second assist of the day and he’s been outstanding,” Morrison said.
Conor Bradley getting better by the week
It must be a good feeling for Jurgen Klopp watching on and knowing he’s got a young player like Bradley who can come in for Trent and produce such good performances.
Yet again today, Bradley was sensational at times and while Trent will come back into the XI now he’s back, Bradley has given Klopp food for thought.
Crucially, there’s a chance now for Klopp to use Alexander-Arnold in the midfield if he wants and know that Conor Bradley will simply come in and do the business at right-back.
Like so many young players making their way at Anfield at the moment, Bradley looks every bit the accomplished player.
The future is so bright for Liverpool right now and performances like this simply ram home how good their youth set up is.
