Manchester City and Liverpool are set to face each other tomorrow and could be bound for a transfer tussle over Jude Bellingham.
ESPN report that City have made the pursuit of a new central midfielder their priority for the summer transfer window already.
They report that there are doubts over the future of City playmaker Bernardo Silva, who has interest from both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Gundogan has entered the final year of his contract and could leave for free at the end of the season if a new agreement is not reached.

Bellingham is named in the report as a City target and he looks all set to be the most sought-after young player in world football this summer.
And the bad news for Liverpool is that City look all primed to tick all the boxes for the former Birmingham man when he makes his big move.
They have the money to afford him, they are almost guaranteed to be in next season’s Champions League and they battle for trophies every year.
Liverpool have been on the slide this season, with Klopp admitting they are no longer in the title race after losing 3-2 to Arsenal last time out in the Premier League.
Their place in the top four is in the balance and there is serious doubt over their ability to put together a package which would match Borussia Dortmund’s valuation of Bellingham.
And if Bellingham becomes City’s number one priority, just like Erling Haaland was last season, it is hard to see Liverpool beating them to the punch – and that’s a problem given how desperately the Reds’ midfield needs new blood.
