Liverpool came from behind against Brighton today but had to settle for a point as Leandro Trossard completed his hat-trick late on.
The Reds had looked in serious danger of dropping all the points but an improved last quarter in the first half and a more Liverpool-like second 45 minutes saw Jurgen Klopp’s side rally before Trossard rained on the comeback parade late on.

And while it was Roberto Firmino who got the goals to bring things level, Mo Salah was also up to the task. Indeed, that was the view of former England man Steve Stone anyway, who lauded Salah on BBC comms for getting Liverpool going.
“Salah is on it. He’s in the mood for it now. He just wants to get the ball at every opportunity, whether he gets the ball in between the two centre halves or to feet and he can face them up. He’s got them any which way he wants,” Stone said of Salah.
Salah has not been at his brilliant best this season as yet but he looked more like the player everyone knows he can be against the Seagulls. However, the goals do seem to have dried up a tad and Salah will be hoping to rediscover his scoring touch soon.
TBR’s View: Liverpool Motor When Salah Is On Form
The introduction of Luis Diaz also helped things for Liverpool today but there is no doubt that the Reds function far better when Salah is on his game.
So far, Liverpool fans haven’t seen the best of Salah by a long way. But there were signs in his game today that he is getting back to his best and with that, the goals will follow.
Brighton were probably one of the best sides to come to Anfield recently though, so Salah was needed to ensure Liverpool took something from the game.
