Paul Merson has waxed lyrical about Liverpool talent Conor Bradley, saying he’s “such a pleasure to watch”.

Merson, writing on Sportskeeda, says he “couldn’t talk highly enough” of the 20-year-old.

Bradley has enjoyed a breakthrough season and announced himself to the football world in midweek as he registered a goal and two assists against Chelsea.

The Anfield academy graduate supplied the pass for Diogo Jota to open the scoring in the 23rd minute of the match at Anfield.

Bradley then got the goal his performance warranted as he raced in from the right and found the far corner with a superb strike on 39 minutes.

The Northern Irishman went on to help Liverpool add a third with his second assist of the march. He crossed for Dominik Szoboszlai to head home in the 65th minute.

Liverpool talent Conor Bradley ‘deserves a mention’

Bradley’s finest performance in a Reds shirt so far helped Jurgen Klopp’s side run out 4-1 winners over Chelsea, and Merson loved what he saw.

He wrote: “One player who deserves a mention is Conor Bradley, oh my god where has he come from?

“He’s keeping Trent Alexander-Arnold out of the team and I couldn’t talk highly enough of him, he’s been a pleasure to watch.

“With games coming thick and fast now, it remains to be seen if he keeps his place against Arsenal.

“Will Klopp decide to keep him in the team or will he take him out of the firing line for a bit? Only time will tell.”

Liverpool producing many top talents

Liverpool have done very well on the youth front in recent years, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Jarell Quansah and Harvey Elliott all becoming established first-teamers.

Bradley is very much the next in line. He is an outstanding talent and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop for Liverpool and for Northern Ireland.

Credit also to the Reds youth setup for the role they played in turning another top talent into a bona fide Premier League rising star.
