The Wales youth international is heading to the Championship for the season on loan as he joins Blackburn Rovers.
With the transfer window winding down, much of the fan focus is on potential late signings for Liverpool’s first team. The club, though, will also be preoccupied with trying to find suitable short-term homes for some of their promising youngsters.
Today, they did just that for left back Owen Beck, who is heading to Championship promotion hopefuls Blackburn Rovers for the season on loan, a step up in competition level for the player after spells at Famalicao, Bolton, and Dundee in recent seasons.
In amongst those loan spells, Beck—who turned 22 earlier in the month—has made three first team Liverpool appearances over the years, with his debut coming in an October 2021 League Cup tie against Championship side Preston North End.
Beck joined the Reds at the U13 level and has represented Wales through the U21 level, but so far only his time spent at Dundee in Scotland could be called especially successful as he made 28 total appearances for the Premiership side in 2023-24.
After reestablishing themselves as a solid mid-table Championship side in recent seasons, Blackburn will push to at least make the Premier League qualification playoffs this year and will many people’s picks to achieve that after a positive start to the season.
