Liverpool are preparing for an emotional final game of the season on Sunday, as it will be Jurgen Klopp’s last match in charge of the Reds.

Liverpool will host Wolves at Anfield in a 4pm kick-off, after which Klopp’s iconic tenure in charge of the Reds will come to an end.

However, the Reds have already got a new manager in place for next season, with Arne Slot taking the reins after Klopp’s departure.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has just dropped a major update regarding Liverpool and Slot on X.

Liverpool announcement shouldn’t be too far away now

Obviously the next few days will all be about Klopp as Liverpool and the fanbase will look to celebrate his fruitful Anfield reign.

Therefore, the likelihood is that an announcement about Slot won’t come until next week at the earliest.

However, it looks as though the final formality regarding the Dutchman committing his future at Liverpool has been crossed off.

Obviously there are still a few steps, but surely it won’t be long now until the all-important official announcement comes from Liverpool

Slot has big shoes to fill, but he has certainly proven himself at Eredivisie level and seems to tick all the boxes for the Reds.
