Gary Neville has now been left pretty perplexed by a claim Jamie Carragher just made about Liverpool after Sunday’s draw.
Jurgen Klopp perhaps faced Pep Guardiola for the last time as Liverpool boss on the weekend, and the match certainly didn’t disappoint.

We’ve seen some incredibly good battles between Liverpool and Manchester City, often ones that decide the title race.
And as a result, Jamie Carragher did label the rivalry between the two as the greatest the Premier League has seen – something Gary Neville took umbrage with on Monday Night Football.
Neville labelled Carragher’s words as ‘offensive’ and said it’s been six years of Liverpool losing to City, rather than a famous rivalry.
The pundit pointed to the one league title Klopp had won during that period, in comparison to Pep’s five.
Gary Neville disagrees with Jamie Carragher and says City have dominated Liverpool
Neville pointed to Manchester United’s rivalry with Arsenal as a much better example, a true back and forth.
He explained: “I mean Carragher’s statement that Liverpool vs Man City is the greatest rivalry is offensive.

“In the last six years Liverpool have won one title. It’s been an absolute demolition. And for Ian Wright to stand there and not pull him up on it is unbelievable.”
And in fairness to Neville, Liverpool have only finished runners-up to Manchester City for two of their last five league wins.
Of course, in reality, we all know that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have been the only team to truly test Pep and his team in that period.
Whether Neville agrees or not, Carragher is right in some regard, Liverpool’s rivalry with City has taken Premier League football to another level, an era when you need more than 90 points to get over the line.
And in all honesty there’s probably no need to compare the competition these two greats have had with those from the past.
All that being said, Jamie Carragher did recently share who he thinks will win the league this season.
