Liverpool No.10 Alexis Mac Allister has now revealed that he would like to return to Boca Juniors one day.
The 25-year-old made the comments when speaking to TyC Sports.
So, what did Alexis Mac Allister say about life after Liverpool? Let’s take a look…
Alexis Mac Allister wants Boca Juniors return
Well, the Argentina international did not state when exactly he plans to rejoin Boca Juniors.
Mac Allister did – however – admit he is “eager” to spend a second spell with the Argentinian giants.
The £150,000-a-week Liverpool man said: “I don’t like to promise that I will return because the reality is that there is still a long way to go, but anything can happen. Obviously the desire is there, I am eager, especially because my time in Boca was very short and I would have liked to be there more, but time will tell if I have that possibility and they give it to me.”

The South American’s career has developed nicely in England, as he became a World Cup winner during his time with the Seagulls, and has already won the first trophy on offer to him at Liverpool after Sunday’s Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea.
Liverpool should still have Alexis Mac Allister for some time
Despite his intention to rejoin Boca Juniors at some point, Liverpool fans should remain calm – it feels unlikely the Argentine will leave Anfield anytime soon.

Whatever happens in future, Liverpool pulled off a bargain by signing Mac Allister for just £35m back in June 2023 – to say the least.
