‘Not safe’: Fabrizio Romano says 50-year-old manager could be sacked amid links to Liverpool

Bayern Munich may be about to go through their first season without a trophy for a long time.

Indeed, the Bavarian club are out of the DFB Pokal, they’re second in the Bundesliga and they’re trailing after their Champions League first-leg tie against Lazio.

Expectations are, of course, massive at the Allianz Arena, and this recent run of form is, quite simply, unacceptable.

Speaking on his TikTok page, Fabrizio Romano has shared some insight into how Bayern Munich are feeling about their current performance levels, and it’s fair to say they’re not happy.

According to Romano, Bayern are far from pleased with recent showings, claiming that Thomas Tuchel’s job is not safe at this point.

Intriguingly, this comes just a few weeks after Tuchel was linked with a move to Liverpool.

Thomas Tuchel’s job isn’t safe

Romano shared what he knows about the 50-year-old manager.

“Bayern Munich are not happy with the current situation. The results have to change, otherwise, let’s see if during the season or at the end of the season the situation will be assessed and discussed internally. The future of Thomas Tuchel is not safe at this point, but he still feels he can change things,” Romano said.

Stock is falling

Tuchel has managed to always move in an upwards trajectory in his career so far from Borussia Dortmund to PSG to Chelsea to Bayern Munich.

However, for the first time in a long time, his stock is now falling, and it’s hard to imagine that Liverpool will go after him from this point.

As good a manager as Tuchel is, he’s failing at Bayern Munich at the moment, and if you want to be considered for the top jobs in this game, timing is everything.

The Liverpool job is coming up this summer, and while Tuchel has been linked, it’s hard to see the Reds going for a gaffer who’s struggled so much this season.
