Liverpool need a new manager this summer, and you have to be a certain type of person to take this job on.
Indeed, this is one of the very biggest jobs in world football, and it would be a huge gamble for any budding manager to take the reins at Anfield.
Simply put, this is a job that could make you or break you, and you have to be absolutely ready if you’re going to take this sort of role on.
Speaking on BBC 606, Robbie Savage has been discussing some of the candidates for the Liverpool job, and there’s one man he believes is not quite ready for this role.

Savage spoke about Thomas Frank’s credentials, claiming that he doesn’t think he’s up to the job of going to Anfield at this point.
“I’ve not really thought who I’d go for yet. Thomas Frank is not quite ready for Liverpool I don’t think. He’s done well with the model Brentford have with their stats, data and analysis, and they battered Man United with 31 shots,” Savage said.
Thomas Frank is nowhere near ready
There’s a lot to like about Thomas Frank as a tactician, but the jump from Brentford to Liverpool is way too big.
There aren’t many managers in Premier League history who have been successful after taking such a massive leap, the likes of Roy Hodgson at Liverpool, David Moyes at Manchester United and even Graham Potter at Chelsea have all struggled after making those big steps up, and you would argue that the gap is probably even smaller for some of those managers.
Frank may well have what it takes to manage a big club these days, but replacing Klopp at Liverpool is such a tough task, and it’s not a role we think Frank is suited for.
