121 Liverpool’s defence has been utterly brilliant lately.
The Merseyside club have conceded just one goal in their last four games, and their backline deserves a lot of credit.
Speaking on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Alexis Mac Allister has reserved some special praise for Liverpool’s defenders, highlighting one player in particular.
Indeed, while Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate get most of the headlines, Mac Allister stated that Andrew Robertson is also an amazing player who has been doing an utterly fantastic job as of late.

The Argentine spoke about his £8m teammate.
“Yeah they are amazing, amazing, you can see, it’s not just Virg and Ibou. The younger players and Robbo is back too. Everyone is trying their best to keep clean sheets, if you don’t concede it is easier to win games so we’re very happy with our defence, they are doing amazing, Virgil is our leader at an incredible level,” Mac Allister said.
Underrated
Andrew Robertson has been fantastic for Liverpool for a long time now, but we shouldn’t understate just how good he’s been since his return from injury.
Robertson has slotted back into this side with ease, and that shouldn’t be such a simple task after such a period on the sidelines.
As ever, Robertson’s impact in this Liverpool team has gone slightly unnoticed, and, to be honest, he deserves more credit for how well he’s adapted since coming back into the side.
As Mac Allister says, it’s not just Van Dijk and Konate who are helping the Reds keep such a strong defensive record at the moment, Robertson, Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley have all had their parts to play, and they deserve to be acknowledged too.
Robertson is a top class player, and we mustn’t forget how key a cog he is in this Liverpool side.
