Fabrizio Romano has told his YouTube channel that Liverpool could attempt to sign both Jude Bellingham and Matheus Nunes in the summer, with the Reds very interested in the Wolves star.
Of course, Bellingham is the player Liverpool fans will probably be following most closely heading into the summer. He has been linked with an Anfield switch for some time. And Romano claims that he is their top target.

Romano says Liverpool want to sign both Bellingham and Nunes
They have been admirers of Portuguese since before his move to Molineux. And the report claimed that a £44 million deal could result in the 24-year-old joining the Reds this summer.

“For the summer, Bellingham is the top target. But Liverpool are in the race with Man City, with Real Madrid, with Chelsea, so it’s going to be a strong race,” he told his YouTube channel.
“But not just Jude Bellingham, they also have other options. And it’s not just an alternative because Matheus Nunes could be one more midfielder in that sense that Liverpool will probably lose Oxlade-Chamberlain on a free. But from what I’m told also, Naby Keita has a very good chance to leave Liverpool on a free transfer.”
It is becoming painfully apparent just how much work needs to be done on the Liverpool squad. The Reds have endured a torrid campaign. And one of the main concerns is the lack of form amongst their midfielders.
The likes of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have been nowhere near their best this season. And given their ages, there are no guarantees that they reach those levels again.
So it would be a huge statement if they managed to sign both Bellingham and Nunes. The former has established himself as one of the best talents in world football over the last few years. And he was a standout for England at the World Cup last year.
Nunes has shown glimpses of his ‘unbelievable‘ quality at Wolves. But you get the sense that there is a lot more to come from him.
The fact that Liverpool’s interest has gone nowhere says a lot. And it would be an exciting move if they could now bring both players in.
