Liverpool need a new manager.
Jurgen Klopp has announced that he’s going at the end of the season, and, as you can imagine, who will replace Klopp was the big talking point in football over the weekend.
Speaking on BBC 606, Chris Sutton was fielding calls from fans who were discussing many options to replace Klopp.
One supporter named Thomas Frank as the man he’d like to see come in at Anfield, and Sutton says that this is a very interesting suggestion, adding that he doesn’t think this would be an impossible move.

Sutton spoke about the Brentford boss and a potential move to Anfield.
“Everyone is talking about the next manager and I think it should be Thomas Frank,” One caller said.
“That’s an interesting one Thomas Frank who has done such an excellent job at Brentford hasn’t he? Why Thomas Frank? What boxes does he tick?” Sutton said.
“That’s a really interesting shout and it’s certainly not impossible, but do you think Liverpool fans out there think this isn’t as sexy an appointment as you would want at Liverpool?”
Underwhelming
Thomas Frank is doing a very good job at Brentford, but it would be hugely underwhelming if he was the man to replace Klopp at Anfield.
He’s never managed at the very top level, and his style of play is really boring at times.
Yes, he’s worked well on a small budget and he’s improved a lot of players, but he doesn’t really play the most exciting football, and he’s never worked at a club of this stature.
In our view, Liverpool need someone a bit more proven than Frank to replace Klopp, but who that will be remains to be seen.
