Liverpool produced a brilliant second half performance to eventually get over the line against Brighton this afternoon.
The win for the Reds puts the pressure on Arsenal and Manchester City now, who play not long after in one of the biggest games of the season.
Liverpool had got themselves level in the opening half of football through Luis Diaz. In the second 45, they pressed and harried Brighton until eventually, Mo Salah tucked away to put the Reds into the lead.
For Salah, it was redemption from what had been a pretty poor half on the whole for the Egyptian.

Salah had fluffed his lines with a few chances and big moments in the final third. But when Alexis Mac Allister played him in on goal with 25 minutes to go, he made no mistake.
There was obvious relief for Salah, who had endured a frustrating afternoon up until then.
Indeed, Salah’s poor performance in front of goal was picked up on by pundit Ian Wright.
Speaking for Premier League Productions, the former Arsenal striker commented on Salah and suggested that there was an element of rust about his game.
“You can see a bit of rust in Salah and his decisions have not been great. The chances he’s had, he’s not got his body around them, opened himself up and created the angle to get it past the goalkeeper. You can just see a bit of rust in him,” Wright said.
Mo Salah delivers when it matters
The best players might endure tough moments and miss the odd chance, but in the end, they always rise to the occasion.
Mo Salah did that here for Liverpool. His finish from Mac Allister’s pass was that of a forward who is very much confident when it comes to being in front of goal.
Liverpool so often rely on Salah to deliver and once again, he did.
It’s not 16 goals for the season for the £34m signing from Roma and as time goes on, Salah’s stock as a Liverpool legend just continues to rise.
