It’s been an incredible week of Champions League action, but now, it’s time to turn our attention to the Europa League.
Indeed, Europe’s secondary competition is back on Thursday night, and the headline match involves Liverpool and Atalanta.
There’s plenty of excitement around this fixture, but, for some reason, Thierry Henry doesn’t want to speak about it.
Speaking on CBS, Henry refused to preview Liverpool’s game against Atalanta this Thursday, jokingly walking off set as he only wanted to discuss Champions League matters upon Arsenal’s return to the competition this season.

Thierry Henry refuses to answer Liverpool question
Thierry Henry refused to preview Liverpool’s game alongside Jamie Carragher.
“What do you think about these Europa League fixtures?” Henry was asked.
“No we’re not talking Europa League. (just) Arsenal and Man City. You guys made me suffer for a long time laughing at Arsenal, so we’re going to sit over there.
“Do you only do the Champions League?” Carragher asked.
“Let me enjoy this for one year, it’s been a long time, you guys can talk about the Europa League,” Henry said.
Can’t blame Thierry Henry
Thierry Henry has been waiting years to be able to speak about Arsenal in the Champions League on CBS, so we can’t blame him at all for not wanting to get sidetracked with Liverpool discussions.
The Reds are, of course, a club worth talking about, but the reality is that they’ve not earned the right to be talked about on these Champions League shows.
Henry has every right to want to focus solely on Arsenal and Man City, and while he was only having a bit of a joke here, we can almost understand why he wanted to walk away from the Liverpool conversation after being denied the chance to talk about Arsenal for so long.
