Liverpool’s summer signings are making a real impact at Anfield already.
Dominik Szoboszlai has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, Alexis Mac Allister is getting better every week, while Ryan Gravenberch seems to be settling in nicely too.
However, one player who hasn’t quite hit the ground running yet is Wataru Endo.
The midfielder hasn’t had loads of chances, and when he has played, he hasn’t exactly stood out.
Speaking to The Mirror, Jermaine Pennant has been giving his views on Liverpool’s summer signings, and he’s actually tipped Endo to eventually come good despite his slow start.

Pennant spoke about the 30-year-old and his potential.
“Gravenberch when he comes on. He looks a brilliant addition as well, technically gifted, quick on the ball, an eye for goal. We know about Endo and how he can break down attacks, he just needs to find his feet, it’s early days for him yet to find the pace of the Premier League, but no doubt about it, when he plays as that number six he will come good at some stage,” Pennant said.
Will he get the chance?
As much as we’d like to see Endo shine at Liverpool, it’s hard to see where his opportunities will come from.
With all due respect, he’s not exactly the biggest name, and Jurgen Klopp hasn’t given him lots of chances so far.
Of course, that could all change if there is an injury or two at Anfield in the coming weeks, but, based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s hard to see Endo stepping up at Liverpool and making much of a difference.
Let’s hope that Pennant’s prediction proves to be right here, as Liverpool could still do with more depth and more steel in their midfield.
