The January transfer window is open and one Liverpool player is being linked with a move to Tottenham.
Indeed, according to The Mail, Joe Gomez is a player that Tottenham really like.
The defender has been vital for Liverpool in recent weeks, filling in at both right-back and left-back and performing brilliantly.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Jose Enrique has been discussing the idea of Gomez going to Tottenham, and he says that Liverpool would be very stupid to sanction this kind of deal at this moment in time.

Enrique spoke about the idea of Gomez moving to Spurs.
“Joe Gomez going to Tottenham? If I was Liverpool I wouldn’t sell him. No chance I would sell Joe Gomez in the form he’s in right now, he’s getting fit, he can play right, left or centre-back. In the summer you never know what comes, but I don’t think it would be clever for Liverpool to sell Joe Gomez right now, not a chance mate,” Enrique said.
Silly to sell Gomez
Enrique is absolutely right, it would be stupid for Liverpool to sell Gomez to Spurs now.
Gomez is quietly one of the Reds’ most important players at the moment.
The England international has been doing a job in both full-back positions, while he’s also brilliant in his natural role as a centre-half.
With Joel Matip out injured at the moment, Liverpool really can’t afford to let Gomez go as they’d then be down to the barebones at centre-back.
Luckily, it doesn’t seem as though this deal is likely in any case. Tottenham appear to be closing in on the signing of Radu Dragusin instead, and that probably throws the brakes on any potential deal that would’ve seen Gomez moving to north London this month.
