Curtis Jones has come on leaps and bounds at Liverpool so far this season.
The midfielder is being spoken about in terms of an England call-up before too long, and, to be honest, he absolutely deserves it.
Jones has been arguably Liverpool’s best midfield player this term, but, as always, there’s room for the player to improve and grow, quite literally.
Indeed, speaking on The Game Football Podcast, Tony Cascarino has been discussing Jones’ abilities, and he says that while he is a massive fan of Jones, he’d like to see him bulk up a bit physically and become a bit more of a force in the middle of the park.

Cascarino shared his verdict on the midfielder.
“I would put into that Curtis Jones. For me he’s grown into a proper player. He needs to man up slightly physically, but I think this season it’s a big blow if he’s injured for Liverpool, that’s going to hurt them because I think he’s their best midfield player,” Cascarino said.
Time on his side
Cascarino isn’t wrong. Jones does need to become stronger, and luckily, he has plenty of time on his side on that front.
At the age of just 22, Jones may not even be finished growing physically, and if he just gets in the gym more, he will soon build that base level of strength that will allow him to compete with some of the more physical players in the Premier League.
Jones is a fantastic player who can go to the very top, and if he continues to work hard behind the scenes on the physical side of his game, the sky could well be the limit for this young man.
