129 Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecolou is on Liverpool’s shortlist along with Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi, but he is nowhere near the top.
Jurgen Klopp announced last month that he would be stepping down as the manager of the club. Liverpool are in search of his successor, and somewhere on their list is Postecoglou.

Tottenham appointed Ange Postecoglou as their manager less than nine months ago.
The Australian was viewed by some as a risky appointment because he had never managed at such a high level before. However, he has proved all those people wrong.
Postecoglou has completely transformed Tottenham. They are a really exciting team to watch, and his recruitment over the last two windows has been excellent as well.
Liverpool need a new manager in the summer, and Xabi Alonso has been linked more than anyone else. Roberto De Zerbi‘s name has come up a lot too.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now revealed that Postecoglou is on FSG’s list as well, but his name is not as high up as Alonso or De Zerbi.
He told GiveMeSport: “Tottenham are unconcerned with Liverpool’s rumoured links to Postecoglou.
“I think that’s normal because Postecoglou has only just joined, and he likes life and the project at Spurs and has no real reason to move again.
“But I also don’t think that Postecoglou is by any means top of Liverpool’s list of priorities. I think it’s fair to say that, at the moment anyway, Alonso and De Zerbi would be above him.
“My understanding is that Liverpool have got multiple candidates on the shortlist.”

Postecoglou would be a great option for Liverpool
Replacing a manager as good as Jurgen Klopp is an extremely difficult task, and there’s no guarantee of success no matter who FSG appoint.
However, whoever comes in has to bring in a wave of excitement that Klopp did all those years ago. Xabi Alonso will definitely do that, and we think Ange Postecoglou will too.
The 58-year-old comes across as such a nice guy. He is loved by all of his players at Tottenham and his philosophy would fit in really well at Liverpool.
Tottenham will do everything they can to keep Postecoglou, but if there is a chance for Liverpool to get him, we think they should.
