Darren Bent claims that Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has become a ‘much better’ player this season.
Bent spoke to the Premier League’s official website ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Luton Town today and singled out Nunez for praise.
Nunez has enjoyed a promising start to the season despite a frustrating day at Kenilworth Road today.
The 24-year-old rattled the woodwork against Luton and saw several efforts denied by Thomas Kaminski.
The striker also missed a glorious opportunity to put Liverpool ahead in the second half as he skied his effort high and wide.
Nevertheless, Darren Bent heaped praise on Nunez ahead of today’s clash at Luton.

Speaking to the Premier League’s official website, Bent backed Liverpool to cause Luton real problems before today’s game.
And the former Tottenham striker claimed Nunez has improved on his performances from last season.
“Liverpool have got a set way of playing, with the quality at the top end of the pitch; Mo Salah can hurt you, Darwin Nunez is looking much better in his second season and Diogo Jota is always in and around it,” the pundit said.
“If Luton aren’t switched on, Liverpool will hurt them – especially Mo Salah.”

Yet, it’s hard to disagree with Bent that Nunez has made huge improvements this season and he seems to finding his feet at Anfield.
He will be disappointed after he failed to take a couple of good opportunities on Sunday but he is enjoying a run in the Liverpool side of late.
The Uruguay international faces stiff competition for a place in Klopp’s side and while he still needs to improve his composure in the final third, he always looks a real threat.
