Seems like a good target to us.
Having recorded ten goals and ten assists in just 17 games, Mohamed Salah has hit that milestone mark for the seventh time in eight seasons at Liverpool, leaving no doubts that the superstar forward will be counted amongst the all-time Premier League greats.
His top goals for the season, though, aren’t the goals. While he’s always been a player keenly aware of the records he’s setting and chasing, Salah says what he wants out of the 2024-25 season is silverware. Preferably lots of it. Every bit of it that can be won.
“Win it all,” was Salah’s straightforward response when asked his season goals. “I work so hard every day and I hate the idea that we’re underdogs. No, we have an incredible group. In every position you’re gonna find players that are really top three in the world.”
The departure of managerial legend Jürgen Klopp this summer inevitably meant some doubts and uncertainty heading into the new season, but new head coach Arne Slot’s tactical tweaks appear to have taken and Liverpool are in as fine form as Salah himself.
With club football on pause for the November internationals—with Salah cleared by the Egyptian national team to stay back and recharge—Liverpool stand top of the Premier League and Champions League tables in prime position for their next set of challenges.
“Why can’t we win it?” Liverpool’s superstar forward added. “This city, this club, has to always fight for everything.”
