Things are finally starting to come together for Darwin Nunez at Liverpool.
The Uruguayan had a rocky first season at Anfield as he proved to be a wildly inconsistent player who was very hit and miss.
However, this term, he’s been much more clinical, and he appears to be truly getting to grips with the rigours of the Premier League.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has been discussing Nunez and his development, and the German has stated that there is a lot more to come from the striker and that he has huge potential.

Klopp spoke highly of Darwin Nunez.
“The first year was hard for him and for me. Massive talent with huge potential but it was difficult to unfold it. Now his English is so much better, he’s settled in the team and everything is different. This is only the start for him. Long may it continue.”
Potentially world-class
We’re not exaggerating when we say that Darwin Nunez has the raw attributes to be a world-class striker.
He’s one of the fastest and strongest players around, and if he can just work on his technique and his composure, he could be a superstar.
He’s already showing signs of being that player right now, but with a bit more finetuning and coaching, he could hit heights that we’ve not seen from a Liverpool number nine since his fellow countryman, Luis Suarez.
Of course, there’s still a lot to work on. He could just as easily score a hat-trick this weekend as he could miss five sitters in the same game, but the fact that he can get into these positions with such ease makes him an incredible threat.
Nunez is on the right track at the moment, and he’s one of the most exciting players in the Premier League right now.
