Martin Keown says there are two Arsenal players Jurgen Klopp will be 'studying' now, he'll want to stop them

Martin Keown believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be studying how his side can stop Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli tomorrow.

The FA Cup is a special tournament for both clubs, and they’ll want to go all the way in the competition. Arsenal have won it more times than any other side, and if they want to add to it this year, Saka and Martinelli will be key for them. Klopp will need a plan to stop them.

Jurgen Klopp will be studying how to stop Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka

Arsenal take on Liverpool tomorrow in what will be a huge game for both sides.

Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta went up against each other just two weeks ago in the Premier League, and it was a fantastic watch.

Arsenal took the lead in that game, but Liverpool fought back. They settled for a 1-1 draw in the end, but both managers will want a result tomorrow to avoid playing a replay.

The Gunners will back themselves to win the game considering they are at home. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are Arsenal’s key players in attack, and Martin Keown thinks Klopp will have been studying how he can stop them tomorrow.

He wrote in The Daily Mail: “Arsenal need to show they can find other solutions by adding more variation to their attack for when opponents slap the shackles on their outstanding wide men, and Saka in particular.

“Currently, Arsenal’s full-backs move into central areas, but there is also the option for them to get forward more regularly down the flanks. Saka could be given greater freedom to roam rather than remain fixed to the right. Perhaps Martin Odegaard could enter that space on the wing to pose extra problems.

“Arsenal will be looking for a repeat of the last time that Liverpool visited the Emirates, when they won 3-2 with Gabriel Martinelli scoring once and Saka twice. Klopp will have been studying how to stop those two.”

Arsenal’s two wide players have struggled this season

One of the biggest reasons why Arsenal have struggled in attack this season is because teams have worked out how to defend against Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The two 22-year-olds are among the most dangerous players in the Premier League when they are given space, but there has been very little of that this season.

Liverpool will not sit deep against Arsenal tomorrow, so there should be some joy for Martinelli and Saka on their respective sides in the final third.

Klopp will definitely have a plan to stop them, but Arteta will be hoping his strategy will help his two star wingers have a positive impact tomorrow.
