Liverpool wrap up their preseason tour in the U.S. against Manchester United from Columbia, South Carolina.
MANCHESTER UNITED VS LIVERPOOL
| Saturday, August 3rd |
Pre-Season | Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, South Carolina

PREVIEW
Liverpool look to make it a perfect run on U.S. soil as they wrap up their tour against bitter rivals, Manchester United. Slot’s side has fared well on this tour so far, pipping Real Betis and Arsenal by a goal each. The performances offensively look good, especially in the phases that feature most of our first team players. Most notably, Harvey Elliott looks primed to become a major offensive cog as Slot’s current set-up has him showcasing mostly in the 10 role with the young attacker absolutely shining.
How this plays out as the first team begins to fully round out following a busy summer of international competition remains to be seen. The latest squad member to return, Alexis Mac Allister, would likely be too soon to feature in this evening’s match, but it would be reasonable to presume that, provided there was suitable cover behind, that they represent the other potential player to man the 10 ahead of Elliott.
A thing to keep an eye on is that Columbia, South Carolina are currently under a severe thunderstorm watch and with the temperature reaching the high 80’s added to that humidity, I can’t imagine playing conditions will be super great. Literally adding more potential for spark and heat in an already loaded rivalry.
