Micah Richards has praised Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley after watching him in action in the Carabao Cup this week.

The Reds booked their place in the final of the competition following a 3-2 aggregate win over Fulham. Bradley was at fault for Issa Diop’s goal, but he deserves a lot of praise nevertheless.

Micah Richards praises Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley

Conor Bradley has been fantastic for Liverpool whenever he has played.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury opened the door for a change at right-back, and since Joe Gomez was required to fill in for Andy Robertson on the opposite side, young Bradley got his chance.

The 20-year-old started in Liverpool’s final Europa League game last month. He then got the nod against Fulham in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final, and he was absolutely superb.

Bradley kept his place in the side this week, and he had a good game right up until former Liverpool star Harry Wilson got the better of him in sensational style.

Micah Richards, who knows a thing or two about being a right-back, was still very impressed with Bradley and has branded him as a ‘real talent’.

Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, he said: “I thought Bradley was very good until they conceded the goal when he (Wilson) just come inside him.

“He looks like a real talent – he’s a full-back for Liverpool if anyone has not seen him already.”

Bradley could allow Trent Alexander-Arnold to play in midfield

Liverpool have an unbelievable attack and a top-quality defence, but there are still some questions being asked about their midfield.

There have been several suggestions that Trent Alexander-Arnold should play in the middle of the park, but Jurgen Klopp has mostly used him as a right full-back.

Now, following young Conor Bradley’s emergence, it would be much easier for Klopp to push Alexander-Arnold to defensive midfield, where he can have a much greater impact.

That, in our opinion, will make Liverpool stronger in the coming weeks and months.
