The promising 19-year-old midfielder will focus on recovery and look to impress new manager Arne Slot in pre-season.
After a difficult start to the season that saw him impress during pre-season only to then suffer a four-month injury layoff, promising 19-year-old Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark faces another fitness-related setback.
A back injury picked up with the U21s will sees his season ended, and the youngster will now focus on recovery with the hope being that Clark will be fully fit and ready to go for pre-season under new manager Arne Slot.
“Unfortunately my season has came to an end early due to injury,” Clark said on the social media network formerly known as Twitter following news of the injury. “Time to focus on getting back fit for the new season.”
Despite his limited availability, Clark made 12 total first team appearances totalling 350 minutes, including most notably a 48 minute appearance as a substitute in the League Cup final that Liverpool won in extra time.
With Liverpool’s mid-season injury crisis waning in recent weeks he has mainly played with the U21s, but Clark did manage to make the bench for the Reds’ disheartening derby day defeat to Everton on the 24th of April.
