Liverpool have been linked with Genk talent Bilal El-Khannouss in recent days.
Last week, Football Transfers claimed that the Reds have joined the race for the Morocco international.
As well as Liverpool, the likes of Manchester United are apparently in pursuit of El-Khannouss.
Although the Reds are unlikely to make any major moves in the coming days, there’s always scope to scout and potentially bring in big talents for the future.
El-Khannouss is certainly in that category. At just 19 years of age, he is already a Genk regular and a senior Morocco international with two major tournaments under his belt.
The versatile midfielder has already made 76 competitive appearances for the Belgians, registering four goals and 10 assists.

Liverpool target Bilal El-Khannouss earns Kevin De Bruyne and Christian Eriksen comparisons
In terms of his style of play, he’s a versatile talent who primarily operates as an advanced playmaker but can also feature at No. 8 and on the flanks.
Around the time of the World Cup, Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout likened El-Khannouss’ style of play to that of Kevin De Bruyne and Christian Eriksen.
His main strengths include passing, vision, technique, ball control, creativity and football IQ. In addition, he’s pacey, agile, a good dribbler with a great first touch, and boasts impressive workrate.
And in terms of El-Khannouss’ price tag, Football Transfers reported that the likes of Liverpool could expect to pay €25-€30million (£21.5-25.5million) for their asset.
All in all, he looks like a good shout for Liverpool. He’s very talented, has a high ceiling, has his whole career ahead of him, and has earned comparisons with two of the greatest Premier League midfielders in recent years.
