Liverpool went back to the top of the Premier League table last night but the search for a new manager is continuing on in the background.
The Reds are into the final few months of the Jurgen Klopp era and are hoping to get it bang on the money when it comes to deciding his replacement.
A number of names are getting a mention, albeit the list does seem to be dwindling down a bit since Xabi Alonso confirmed he will be staying in Germany.

Of course, while those drop away, that does leave interest in Sporting Lisbon manager, Ruben Amorim.
Amorim is among the top candidates on FSG’s list and Liverpool are thought to be seriously considering the Portuguese coach.
And according to journalist Santi Aouna, it looks like Amorim might well be the man for Liverpool.

According to a post on X by Aouna, there are now active talks underway between Liverpool and the agents of Amorim.
The journalist has claimed that Amorim is also keen on joining the Reds and that should the job be offered to him, he will be happy to take it.
Amorim’s work with Sporting has not gone unnoticed across Europe and other clubs, such as Barcelona, are also thought to be keen on him.
One of the younger coaches on Liverpool’s list, Amorim is expected to go on and produce the goods elsewhere after guiding Sporting to the title and leading the charge again this season.
Amorim has managed to get the best from a number of players wanted in England. Striker Viktor Gyokeres is wanted by Arsenal and more, after smashing in more than 30 goals.
Liverpool fans, then, will be expecting some exciting attacking football if Amorim is brought in.
