Liverpool must go all out to sign World Cup star Sofyan Amrabat in January, it could actually help them to land Jude Bellingham in the summer.
Jurgen Klopp looks set to dip into the market for midfield reinforcements next month after their struggles in the middle of the park have been evident this season.
The Reds have been linked with moves for the likes of Benfica star Enzo Fernandez and also look like frontrunners to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Bellingham.
With both of these deals seeming unlikely for January, Liverpool has been touted as a possible destination for Amrabat. Journalist Graeme Bailey claims the Reds are the most likely side to sign the Moroccan next month.
The 26-year-old played a key role in Morocco’s surprise run to the semi-final of the World Cup over the past month. And while he isn’t a household name like Bellingham, he could actually help the Reds in their bid to sign the Englishman next summer.

Liverpool haven’t got off to the best start to the new season and currently find themselves in sixth place, well below where anyone expected them to be at this point.
Klopp’s men will now be focusing solely on ensuring they qualify for the Champions League next season and Amrabat could be the perfect signing to help them achieve this.
If Liverpool fail to finish in the top-four this season, they could find it very difficult to fund a deal for Bellingham.
The Mirror reports that Klopp’s side will have a tough time signing Bellingham if they fail to secure Champions League football, due to both footballing and financial reasons.
Based on their earnings from last season, the Reds could miss out on around £15.64 million if they don’t qualify for the group stages of the Champions League. This doesn’t include the prize money for each win or draw in the competition, as well as the lower prize money they’d receive for finishing outside the top-four.
The outlet claims that Klopp’s men could actually be down more than £20 million compared to their usual funds from qualifying for the Champions League.
Of course, Liverpool would also struggle to convince Bellingham to make the switch to Merseyside if the likes of Manchester City also launch an attempt to sign him and can offer Champions League football.

Liverpool will need to address their issues in midfield and with Bellingham seemingly out of reach in January, Amrabat could be the perfect stop-gap signing to help them finish inside the top-four.
The midfielder will reportedly be available for around £40 million too, which certainly doesn’t seem to be out of Liverpool’s reach financially.
Klopp’s sole aim should be ensuring his side are playing in Europe’s biggest competition next season, or it could have consequences in terms of their ambitions in the transfer market next summer.
