It seems as if Liverpool are not wasting any time when it comes to finding a manager to replace Jurgen Klopp next season.
As expected, Klopp oversaw a much-needed win and three points against Burnley yesterday, the kind of game Liverpool can’t afford to slip up in.

Liverpool returned to the top of the table with the win, strengthening the possibility of Klopp leaving with another title.
All that being said, Liverpool weren’t the only side in Europe who proved their ambitions to win the league yesterday.
Bayer Leverkusen won brilliantly against Bayern Munich, enjoying a historic 3-0 win that puts them five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
And that explains why Xabi Alonso appears to be Liverpool’s first choice to replace Klopp next season.
Moreover, according to journalist Santi Aouna, Liverpool have even now made their first contact to bring Alonso to Anfield.
Aouna shared the update on X today, saying several clubs are now understandably impressed with the Spaniard.
Liverpool have now made contact with Xabi Alonso to replace Jurgen Klopp next season
Santi Aouna confirmed that Xabi Alonso is also really liked by the Bayern Munich board, perhaps with a view to next season.
Sharing his update, Aouna said: “Several clubs impressed by Xabi Alonso’s season.

“Xabi Alonso is also one of the most appreciated managers by [the] Bayern Munich board.”
Therefore, it seems advisable that Liverpool have now begun to pursue Alonso with the view to replace Klopp next season.
There’s bound to be plenty of competition for such a promising and ‘special‘ young coach, who’s already showing his ability to win.
And of course, Alonso’s willingness to actually leave Leverkusen does also need to be considered as well, especially if his young side can win the league.
That being said, it seems as if Liverpool would also like to add a member of staff from Newcastle United in the near future.
