On Friday, Ben Doak snapped up an assist, setting up the second goal for Lyall Cameron with a pass into the box during Scotland U21s’ 2-0 victory over Belgium in U21 European Championship qualifying. He played 60 minutes.

Over at Wembley, Trent Alexander-Arnold donned the number 10 shirt and started for England in their 2-0 win against Malta in Euro 2024 qualifying. He played 90 minutes and received the Man of the Match award.

In friendly competition, Kostas Tsimikas played 90 minutes for Greece in a 2-0 win against New Zealand in Athens.

On Saturday, Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo secured Euro 2024 qualification for the Dutch. Both of them started against the Republic of Ireland in a game decided by a rare Wout Weghorst (!) goal. Caoimhin Kelleher was an unused substitute for Ireland.

Harvey Elliott nabbed himself a goal, collecting the ball around 25 yards from the goal and rifling it into the bottom right corner. The Young Lions won 3-0 away from home against Serbia in a qualification game for U21 European Championship.

The Liverpool midfielder collected the ball around 25 yards from goal and dispatched a clinical effort into the bottom right corner. He played the entire game, while on-loan Tyler Morton and Jarell Quansah made second-half appearances from the bench.

In U19 action, Calum Scanlon came off the bench to provide an assist for the winning goal. His pass to Jamie Conley gave England the victory over Japan in the last minute of the game.
