That is according to César Luis Merlo.
So, what is the latest on Tottenham and Liverpool target Federico Redondo? Let’s take a look…
Liverpool and Tottenham set to miss out on Federico Redondo
Well, it was Emmanuel Luiz – a South American journalist – who claimed that the Argentina U23 international is a target for both Spurs and the Reds.
He told The Redmen TV Podcast: “What I can tell you right now, there is a guy here in Latin America called Federico Redondo, he is from Argentina Juniors. Clubs in the big six are looking for Redondo to buy him right now or loan him… clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham.”
Now – however – Redondo surprisingly appears to be close to joining Inter Miami.

“The team prepares a proposal of $8m (£6m) – a figure that Argentinos Juniors is willing to accept. With @victortuchi”.
Who is Federico Redondo?
By the sounds of it, Liverpool and Tottenham are set to miss out on a precocious talent.
Redondo – son of Fernando Redondo – is a stylish No.6 who protects the ball remarkably well and progresses it forwards effectively, much like Inter Miami No.5 Sergio Busquets.
