With a pretty darn fun win in the books, we want you to pick the Man of the Match.
Now THAT was a lot more fun! After the slog of April, Liverpool opened up the month of May with a resounding win over Spurs that featured some sensational play all over the pitch...until a 5 minute stretch that saw the Reds concede twice.
Harvey Elliott was everywhere against Spurs, creating chance after chance for both himself and others. He assisted Cody Gakpo with a very nice cross, and followed that up with a rocket of a goal himself. Mohamed Salah had a, if not vintage, at least much much much better performance. He scored the opener, created the second, and assisted the fourth goal. Cody Gakpo was a force as he floated out to the left. His cross was headed home by Salah for the opener, and then he himself floated above everyone to head home the third goal. Andy Robertson scored his second goal in as many matches, this time tucking in with his right boot from close range.
Now let us know how you saw it. We’ve narrowed down the options to a few of the players we thought had the best performances for the Reds, now make your choice and vote for who you think should be the Man of the Match—or take to the comments to let us know that we got it wrong by not even including the real man of the match in the options.
And as always, a reminder that for anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP and looking to cast a vote who can’t see the poll, you can make it visible by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and loading the full version of the story from there.
