Mohamed Salah is back in contention to start for Liverpool.
After a spell on the sidelines with an injury sustained at the African Cup of Nations, the Egyptian is now fit and available for selection for the first time in over a month for the Reds.
It goes without saying that this is a huge boost for Liverpool, and speaking on Premier League Productions, Clinton Morrison has been speaking about how gamechanging Salah’s return could be.
The pundit says that the winger’s return to action is great news, claiming that it’s almost like having a new signing injected into the squad.

Morrison shared his verdict on the winger’s return.
“Such great news to have Mohamed Salah back. He might not start, but to have him in even on the bench, a player of his pedigree and talent, it gives you a great opportunity. I think having him back is like having a new signing, I know he’s only been out for a month or five weeks, but he’s so crucial to that team,” Morrison said.
Massive boost
This is a huge boost for Liverpool at just the right time.
The Reds need to find another gear if they are indeed to push on and win the Premier League title this season, and the return of one of the best players in the world could be the catalyst for that uptick in form.
Salah hasn’t played for a while, but we shouldn’t forget just how brilliant he’s been this season.
Before his spell on the sidelines, he was right up there with Erling Haaland in the race for the Golden Boot, and, as we all know, that’s no easy feat.
Salah’s return could well propel Liverpool to glory this term.
