Liverpool have had some truly exceptional attackers over the years.
Michael Owen, Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres were all among the best strikers in the Premier League at one point or another, but according to the panel on Sky Sports’ Saturday Social, none of those players make the top 10 Premier League strikers of all-time.
Two Liverpool players did indeed make this list, Robbie Fowler slotted in at number eight, while Adebayo Akinfenwa made the case for Mohamed Salah being just ahead of Fowler on this list, despite the fact the Egyptian isn’t necessarily a traditional number nine.

Akinfenwa spoke about the attacker while putting him ahead of Fowler on this list.
“I want us to have a look, because I want him to let loose on my list,” Akinfenwa said.
“He scores loads of goals and the game has moved on now to what it is. The game has evolved, if you’re talking about strikers from back then, there’s only four or five strikers in the world, period, now, back in the day it was 4-4-2, but now you’re playing one number nine.”
One of the best
Salah was ranked at number seven on this particular list, but, for our money, he should be much higher.
Of course, there’s an argument to make that the Egyptian doesn’t belong on a list of strikers, but if you’re going to have him on there, he needs to be in the top three.
He doesn’t have the longevity of an Alan Shearer or an Andy Cole, but he’s been scoring at a ridiculous rate for a long time now, and before Erling Haaland came along, he held the record for goals in a season.
Salah is truly one of the best the Premier League has ever seen, and he’s certainly top of the pile in terms of Liverpool attackers.
