Leandro Trossard has summed up the Anfield atmosphere in one word as Arsenal prepare to travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool this weekend.
The Premier League’s top two meet on Saturday, with the winner more than likely to find themselves top of the pile on Christmas Day.
Of course, some of the talk ahead of the game surrounds the atmosphere inside Anfield after a couple of interesting games for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

But speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Leandro Trossard is expecting a memorable occasion.
“It’s always good if you can win against any team, but if you win this one, I think it’s more about the statement we will give. I think we have shown that against Brighton and other really good sides how we can play, be so dominant and win the game, and that’s what we want to do as well at Anfield,” he said.
“We approach every game wanting to win, and it’s the same for this one coming up. Obviously we know how good they are, especially at home; it’s like a special atmosphere but I think if we are at our best we can compete with them at their place and win that game as well.”
Arsenal will hope to silence Liverpool supporters
Trossard knows better than most how he can silence the Anfield crowd. The Belgian is actually the last player to have scored a hat-trick at the ground, having bagged all three of Brighton’s goals in a 3-3 draw last season.
Arsenal will be desperately hoping that he can have a similar impact this weekend. The Gunners returned to top spot with their win over Trossard’s former side last weekend. But like Liverpool, it does feel as though they have not quite hit top gear just yet.
Beating the Reds at Anfield however, would see Arsenal strike a huge psychological blow ahead of the new year and the January transfer window.
Certainly, Trossard will be hoping that the Gunners ensure that Anfield is at nothing like its best this weekend.
