Liverpool recorded an important win against Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds ascended to the top of the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over the Seagulls, but it was far from a straightforward victory.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp’s side quickly went 1-0 down against Brighton, and it was far from a vintage performance from the league leaders.
Liverpool did get over the line in the end, but many of their key players weren’t at their best on the day, and according to Leroy Rosenior, one player in particular was way off it.

Rosenior spoke about Mohamed Salah’s performance against Brighton, claiming that he looked really sloppy and kept giving the ball away on Sunday.
“Are you a bit worried about the form of Mo Salah? I know he got the goal but he kept giving the ball away and he looked sloppy at times. I know he got the winning goal, but he doesn’t look quite the same to me at the moment,” Rosenior said.
Mohamed Salah made the difference
There is some truth in what Rosenior is saying here.
Salah did rush things at times against Brighton and he wasn’t the most reliable when it came to retaining the ball.
However, at the end of the day, he scored the winning goal to send the Reds to the top of the league, and that’s all that matters.
Salah is just one of those players, he could be having the worst game of his career and then pop up with the all-important goal to win the match, and that’s all that will be remembered.
The £34m man didn’t have his very best game against Brighton, but we can’t get our heads around criticising a player after making such a huge impact in such a crucial game away from home.
