Liverpool will need to bring in a new manager in the summer as Jurgen Klopp is set to depart Anfield at the end of the season.
Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on one of the Reds‘ purported managerial targets, namely Ruben Amorim.
The transfer insider, speaking on YouTube, has reiterated that certain people at Liverpool appreciate the Sporting Lisbon manager.
Romano also shared what he has been told is the release clause for the Reds – or any other suitors – to get their hands on Amorim.

“Many clubs are keeping close eye to the work of Ruben Amorim who is doing excellent with Sporting in Portugal not just this year but since long time.
“From what I know, he has a release clause into his contract – €30million (£26million).
“Let’s see what’s going to happen at the end of the season, what he’s going to decide at the end of the season, about his future.
“We know that, for example, at Liverpool the priority is Xabi Alonso, but we know that for Xabi Alonso it’s Liverpool against Bayern.
“I will update you in the next days about Xabi Alonso situation, so the situation at Liverpool is very clear.
“But Amorim is one of the the managers appreciated by people at the club waiting for Liverpool to have a new structure.”
‘Incredible’ Ruben Amorim looks like a good shout for Liverpool – TBR View
If Liverpool don’t manage to get their hands on Alonso, then Amorim would also be a good shout for the Anfield hotseat.
The 39-year-old has proven himself to be a “supercoach” and an “incredible” young manager with a bright future in the game.
Klopp has been a sensational manager for Liverpool and it looks as though the Reds players are doing all they can to give him the best possible send-off.
Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup and remain in contention for the Premier League, the Europa League and the FA Cup.
Whoever succeeds Klopp will have quite a job on his hands, but Amorim seems like he has what it takes to go far at Anfield or elsewhere.
