Liverpool talent Harvey Elliott earned praise from Premier League pundit Leon Osman in the Reds’ top-flight win on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool charges were up against it at Anfield as they fell behind to Luton Town, but bounced back to win 4-1.
Elliott made his fourth Premier League start of the season – his 100th outing for Liverpool – and delivered a solid display overall, complete with a late goal.
The 20-year-old began well and created an early chance for Luis Diaz, but like many of the Liverpool players, struggled to make an impact for a while.
Elliott was much improved in the second half, picking up the ball plenty of times in great spaces and setting up numerous shots for his teammates.

In the end, he got the goal his display and milestone warranted when he backtracked to pounce on a loose ball inside the box and curl into the top corner.
“Harvey Elliot has taken responsibility brilliantly in this second half,” Osman said on Premier League Productions.
“The finish is top-class and it puts the icing on a very good second-half performance from Liverpool. Just what they needed ahead of the League Cup final.”
Elliott’s goal was the cherry on top after Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz had netted to cancel out Chiedozie Ogbene’s opener.
It’s great to see Elliott make such an impact on his 100th appearance, marking a rare start with a goal en route to a solid comeback win against a tough opponent.
He has a bright future ahead of him and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to fare for Liverpool in the coming years.
