Paul Merson has been lauding young Liverpool defender Conor Bradley but believes the Reds could do with resting him soon enough.
Bradley has excelled in recent weeks with some brilliant performances and he capped off his rise with two assists and a goal against Chelsea in midweek.
This weekend sees Liverpool play Arsenal. In that game, Bradley is likely to face his stiffest test yet in the form of either Gabriel Martinelli or Gabriel Jesus.
And while Bradley has looked the business, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has suggested that Liverpool need to be careful about when they decide to rest the youngster.

Speaking on Sky’s Soccer Saturday show about the Liverpool youngster, Merson offered up a word of caution for the Reds on using Bradley too much.
“He looks a good player. It’s just getting the right timing of giving him a rest in the team. He’s done so well but it’s so different from League One and now you’re in the Premier League, with the concentration levels. But i’ve loved watching him play. Some of his passing, his intelligence, hes playing like a 26/27 year old. But, another hard game tomorrow against Martinelli. It’s just how long is it going to be when it’s just 45 minutes too much. The games he’s played in, and you’ve got Trent waiting to come in as one of the best in the business so it’s hard,” Merson said.
Liverpool will look after Bradley
With Jurgen Klopp still in charge for the next few months, there shouldn’t be a risk of Conor Bradley suffering any sort of burnout or similar.
The young right-back has bags of quality and maturity in his own game as it is and with Klopp and his Liverpool teammates around him, he’ll be just fine.
Tomorrow might be a game too far mind. Arsenal are a different animal and the idea that Klopp leaves Alexander-Arnold out for one of the biggest games of the season is hard to fathom.
However, he’s played his way into the manager’s plans and between now and the end of the season, Conor Bradley will no doubt play a role for Liverpool.
