Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber was impressed with the performance of Ryan Gravenberch for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has applauded Gravenberch.

So, how have Jurrien Timber and Alexis Mac Allister reacted to Ryan Gravenberch’s performance for Liverpool against Manchester City? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.

Norway international striker Erling Haaland put City in the lead in the 27th minute when he found the back of the net from close range.

England international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold restored parity for Liverpool in the 80th minute.

Ryan Gravenberch did not start the match for Liverpool. The Netherlands international midfielder came off the bench for Curtis Jones in the 54th minute.

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge was impressed by the display produced by Gravenberch.

As you can see, Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber was pleased to see Gravenberch do well for Liverpool.

Timber and Gravenberch played together at Ajax. While the former moved to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, the latter joined Liverpool from Bayern Munuch for £34.2 million (Sky Sports).

Ryan Gravenberch could develop into a Liverpool star

In my view, Ryan Gravenberch is a player who could become a star for Liverpool in the coming years.

The 21-year-old has not made a huge impact for Liverpool so far this season. The Netherlands international midfielder is yet to become a regular in the starting lineup.

However, there have been some very positive signs. The Dutchman has a lot of potential. After all, Bayern Munich signed him, and the Bundesliga champions know how to spot a talent.

Gravenberch has made three starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League and has scored two goals in three UEFA Europa League matches for Liverpool this season.
