Liverpool have one foot in the Europa League quarter-finals after making light work of Sparta Prague in the first leg.
Jurgen Klopp‘s Reds ran out 5-1 winners against the Czech champions in Prague last week, putting them in a dominant position ahead of the last-16 return leg at Anfield.
Obviously Liverpool cannot be complacent against a team that will be quick out of the starting blocks in order to get early goals on board and unsettle the Reds.
However, there’s a good chance that Klopp will ring the changes and rest some of his big guns ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup trip to Manchester United.
One player we predict will make the starting XI is Bobby Clark, one of the best players emerging from the Liverpool academy in recent years.
The 19-year-old midfielder is far from a rookie at senior level. Indeed, he is already in double figures, with 12 competitive senior outings under his belt at Liverpool.

Back in 2021, the Reds reportedly beat a host of top clubs including Bayern Munich to Clark’s signature, snapping him up from Newcastle United.
Lee Ryder, the Chronicle’s chief Magpies reporter, spoke to the Liverpool Echo at the time about how much of a “kick in the teeth” Clark’s departure was.
“Bobby was Newcastle’s most promising youngster,” said Ryder. “He is a really exciting player with bags of skill and talent.
“He could have lit up the stage at St James’ Park but now he has gone to Liverpool and that is a real kick in the teeth.”
Clark is certainly achieving his potential. At just 19 years of age, he’s featuring fairly regularly for the Reds, and Klopp recently revealed just how well he’s progressing.
“In the end, you follow us obviously pretty closely and the development of Bobby Clark… that’s really crazy I have to say,” Klopp told the Liverpool media team.
There’s a good chance we’ll see Clark from the off, and he’ll certainly give his all in a European knockout tie, as will the rest of the Liverpool players who’ll make the XI.
