Liverpool defender Conor Bradley has been described by Joe Cole as a player “well on his way” to becoming world-class.
Cole was speaking on TNT Sports after the Liverpool academy graduate helped the Reds thrash Sparta Prague again in the Europa League.
Bradley didn’t have much to do in terms of defensive work, as Liverpool were almost always on the front foot against their struggling opponents.
The 20-year-old spent most of his time on the pitch coming inside to help as the inverted right-back, as well as drifting forward and being a solid option on the right.

So much so, in fact, that Cole described Liverpool’s selection at right-back – when both players are fit – as a “fantastic problem” for Jurgen Klopp to have.
“It’s a fantastic problem to have, two fantastic players,” Cole said on TNT Sports – as transcribed by the Liverpool Echo – after the match.
“Trent’s clearly a world-class player and Conor Bradley is well on his way to becoming that already.”
Conor Bradley the latest Liverpool talent to make Anfield breakthrough
In terms of producing outstanding academy players who have made their first-team breakthrough, Liverpool have been arguably the best club in the Premier League on that front in recent years.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Jarell Quansah and Harvey Elliott have all become established first-teamers under Klopp.
And Conor Bradley is very much the next in line. He is an outstanding talent and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop for Liverpool.
Credit also to the Reds youth setup for the role they played in turning another top prospect into a genuine Premier League star. His future is very bright.
