Jobe Bellingham says two Liverpool players make his best five-a-side team...but there's no room for Mo Salah

It’s fair to say Liverpool have an array of talent in their squad right now, with a number of players who walk into most teams in the world.

The Reds are currently top of the Premier League table and are playing some fine attacking football in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge.

Likewise, they are also defending well, with Virgil van Dijk looking back at his best and Alisson in goal behind him continuing to do the business. Add those two to the attacking flair at the top of the pitch in Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, and this is a title winning team in the making.

However, while Salah might be one of the players who gets most plaudits due to his goals and assists, Jude Bellingham’s brother, Jobe Bellingham, has actually gone with two other Liverpool stars in his best five-a-side team right now.

Selecting his team in an interview for That’s Football, Bellingham opted to ignore Salah and instead go with both Van Dijk and Alisson as part of his five.

Beyond them, he chose Real Madrid pair Toni Rudiger and his brother, Jude, while in attack, he picked England skipper Harry Kane over Erling Haaland.

Liverpool have quality everywhere

No need for Mo Salah to get upset here, it’s all a bit of fun and Jobe Bellingham clearly admires a lot of the top players in the game.

For Liverpool, they are always seem to get a mention when players are tasked with picking these sorts of team.

Van Dijk and Alisson, in fairness to them, have been outstanding for years now and are deserving of being picked in anyone’s five or elevens.

It’s a testament, then, to just how good the duo have been over a long period of time that someone as young as Jobe Bellingham still goes to them in his selections.
