Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham are all in the title race this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are top of the league right now, Mikel Arteta’s men would’ve been top if they’d beaten Fulham on Sunday, while Pep Guardiola’s champions can never be written off, and that’s before we speak about Spurs or Villa.
Liverpool can go five points clear at the top of the table with a win at Anfield on Monday, but Newcastle are no pushovers, as we all know.
The top five are separated by just three points at the moment, and this is shaping up to be one of the most dramatic title races we’ve seen in years.
It would take a brave man to predict who is going to win the league, and speaking on The Rest is Football, Gary Lineker has given his verdict on how this will all play out.
Lineker tipped Arsenal at the beginning of the year, but now he says he suspects Manchester City will win the title.

Lineker spoke with Micah Richards about the title race.
“Is it crazy to say that it’s possible that Arsenal won’t finish in the top four? I think they will finish in the top four,” Lineker said.
“I think Arsenal will be in the top four, but it goes back to January, I think they need a striker, you tipped Arsenal to win the league didn’t you Gary?” Richards said.
“I did, I did, only to be contrary to you two who had both gone for the obvious choice of Manchester City, I still suspect it probably will be Manchester City, but I’m not changing, even though I’d rather Tottenham win the league and Aston Villa are in there,” Lineker said.
Tough to call
Fair play to Lineker for making any sort of prediction, because we really can’t call this one.
Yes, City are probably the favourites due to their pedigree, but let’s not forget, just two weeks ago City were being completely written off after just one win in six games.
There are going to be ups and downs for all of the teams involved in this title race, and while Lineker reckons City will do it, we wouldn’t be shocked if any of Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal or Tottenham manage to get over the line.
