172 Liverpool produced another fine performance to see off Brentford today as they continued to stake their claim for being title contenders.
The in-form Mohammed Salah scored two once more while Diogo Jota added a third to put the seal on a fine performance in front of the home fans.
Liverpool are now motoring along nicely and Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with what he saw in the main.
However, there were some moments of concern and Liverpool’s players were getting visibly frustrated at one point. Diogo Jota was spotted having a dig at Cody Gakpo and Kostas Tsimikas.
And in a similar moment, Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was also getting annoyed, with Sky Sports pundit Peter Smith spotting ‘Trent’ having a go at Darwin Nunez.
“Alexander-Arnold isn’t impressed with Nunez but that’s the second pass he’s sent astray in the past two attacks. Liverpool’s attacks just lacking a little precision so far,” Smith said.
Of course, Trent demands high standards and produced some good moments himself in the game, including a stunning pass that gave Mo Salah another big chance.

The England man is really growing in stature at Liverpool and now 25, he seems to have a real influence on things at Anfield.
This moment was all a bit of nothing in the end but it did highlight just how Trent sees himself in this squad.
The right-back didn’t have any second thoughts about having a go at big-money signing Nunez and that just shows how much he wants everything to be right.
Alexander-Arnold is in fine form and Liverpool in general are reaping the rewards of that as well.
As it stands, there is every chance the Reds end up in the title chase and Alexander-Arnold’s high standards will help drive them towards that point.
