‘I will go with’: Troy Deeney has now made a prediction for Liverpool’s game vs Nottingham Forest

Liverpool face Nottingham Forest on Saturday in what, in usual circumstances, would be seen as a straightforward win for the Reds.

Indeed, top of the league vs a relegation battler should usually only go one way. However, at this moment in time, Liverpool aren’t the force they usually are.

The Reds are currently going through an unprecedented injury crisis, and they will have to field a number of second-string players against Forest this weekend.

Speaking on his TikTok page, Troy Deeney has had a go at predicting how this game will go, and while he has backed Liverpool to win, he’s stated that this will be a tight game, going for a 2-1 Reds win.

Deeney tips narrow Liverpool win

The pundit shared his verdict on how this game will go.

“Forest played Man United in the week and they weren’t great., Liverpool are firing on all cylinders, they have the young kids scoring and some of the injuries coming back. I expect to see Mo Salah back, I will go with 2-1 to Liverpool in that game,” Deeney said.

Best time to play Liverpool

Usually, you wouldn’t give Forest any real hope of getting a result here considering their form in comparison to Liverpool’s.

However, this is the best time to play Liverpool with so many injuries mounting up for the Reds.

Of course, the Merseyside club will still be coming into this one as favourites, but you can’t wholly discount Forest’s chances of causing a bit of an upset here.
