Richard Keys has made a very interesting claim about Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou amid Liverpool’s search for a new manager.
The Reds have been looking for Jurgen Klopp‘s successor after the German announced in January that he would be leaving the club at the end of this season.
Liverpool have been linked with a number of names over the last three months, but recent reports have revealed that Arne Slot is the frontrunner for the Reds job.
The Feyenoord boss is said to be keen to become the next Liverpool manager as well.
However, Keys has now made a claim that could open the door for Liverpool to go after Postecoglou in the coming weeks.

Tottenham appointed Ange Postecoglou as their manager before the start of this season.
There were some concerns about whether the Australian could do it in the Premier League because he had no experience in a top league before.
Postecoglou has silenced those critics over the last few months, and he is one of the best managers in the country right now.
Reports have revealed that Postecoglou has been under consideration at Liverpool as they look for a new manager to replace Jurgen Klopp.
Arne Slot, however, looks like the favourite to get the job now.
Speaking about the managerial situation at Liverpool, Richard Keys claimed on beIN Sports last night that he would go after Postecoglou if he was calling the shots at Anfield.
Then, he made a very interesting revelation about Postecoglou’s Tottenham contract that could help Liverpool or any other club get him this summer.
Keys said: “I’d go for Postecoglou. The reason I say that is initially I thought it would take too much to get him out. Then I was told that because he was not first choice, his salary is not great and the buy-out is not very big.
“So that would be my preferred choice. I think he would be terrific at Anfield.
The presenter further added: “I just didn’t think it would be possible, I couldn’t see Levy letting him go. But I’m told the figures do make sense.”
Ange Postecoglou’s stats vs Arne Slot compared
Both Ange Postecoglou and Arne Slot are highly regarded by those in football.
The two managers have done a remarkable job at their respective clubs this season, and their record in the past is not too bad as well.
Postecoglou has 19 wins in 35 games for Tottenham this season in all competitions. His side have scored 70 goals, conceded 56 and average 1.8 points per game.
Slot, on the other hand, has won 28 of his 43 matches in all competitions so far this season. Feyenoord have scored 96 goals and conceded just 42 in those games, picking up 2.12 points per game on average.
That’s probably why Liverpool are pushing for Slot right now, but if they can’t get him and Postecoglou is really available for a small fee, it wouldn’t be a bad idea at all to go after the Spurs boss.
