Joshua Kimmich has been at the centre of plenty of transfer speculation as of late with both Liverpool and Chelsea linked.
The Bayern Munich star has been one of the better players in Europe for almost a decade now, but after so many years in Bavaria, he may want a new challenge.
Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Kimmich’s future, and he says that he’s actually not heard all that much about Chelsea recently, claiming that he’d always been told that Liverpool and Manchester United were the teams that were more interested.

Kimmich shared what he knows about the ‘phenomenal’ player.
“Yeah I’m not aware of Kimmich and Chelsea even though I’ve seen some of the links out there. From the perspective of Chelsea the profile of the player isn’t what they’re looking for at the moment, he’s 28, I know he’s versatile but I was always told that the clubs that were looking at Kimmich were more potentially Liverpool, although nothing advanced, or Manchester United, but I haven’t heard of anything advanced with Kimmich and Chelsea,” Jacobs said.
One to watch
This is really one to keep an eye on.
Kimmich could be an incredible signing for the Reds. Not only would he be a fantastic holding midfield option, but as Jacobs says, with his versatility he could also be used at right-back.
Liverpool, of course, don’t have that much depth at right-back or in the midfield at the moment, but if they sign Kimmich, they could solve both problems at once.
Jurgen Klopp and Jorg Schmadtke, of course, know all about the German market, and Kimmich has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga for a long time now.
Don’t be shocked if we start to hear more and more about Kimmich and a move to the Premier League in the coming months.
